Topic: “ Comments on a forum”

1)   Read this article and answer the questions

    Do you usually read or make comments on the net?

     Those who have got a blog where they post their stories, raise a discussion on this or that issue, share their photos of the places they think can attract readers, post videos or take part in a forum, usually expect some kind of a feedback – to get their questions answered or commented by the forum community.  A topic relevant to the forum will help to encourage people to reply to your post. Forum or blog commenting is a good way to exchange ideas, opinions about a certain topic which is important to the reader. A great post usually receives both many comments and likes.

How do you understand this quotation? Write your comments.

   1)   Read Paulina`s and Julia `s interviews.

-         What topics did they discuss in their interviews?

-    What new ideas about the topics discussed did you learn from the interviews?

   2)   Read Dasha`s article about living in the Lyceum Boarding House?

-         What does Dasha like about the living Boarding House?

  3)   The New Yorker is an American magazine of reportage, commentary, criticism, essays, fiction, satire, cartoons and poetry. It was started as a weekly in 1925. The magazine is now published 47 times annually, with five of these issues covering two-week periods.

-         Listen to the Interview with Jerry, an American, and do tasks 2a, 2b on page 245 in your Textbook. Use the CD from your textbook.

    4)   Answer the questions ( orally) from Ex. 4a on page 245.

  

    5)   Interview one of your classmates or lyceum ( other schools ) pupils. Write down the dialogue of your speeches.
